Operational Permanent Controller for Finance

For the Reporting- and Controlling team we are looking for a new colleague, who would like to be a part of a good and dedicated team of controllers, taking the lead on the Operating Control Processes within BNP Paribas Personal Finance and BNP Paribas Nordic entities. You will also participate in the external reporting for the Danish and Norwegian authorities and the reporting to the group as part of the consolidated financial accounts for BNP PF and BNP Paribas.

You will be responsible for applying and combining HQ directives and local Nordic operational processes, procedures and controls ensuring to meet both local demands as well as HQ directives.

The main tasks of the Operational Permanent Controller includes (but are not limited to):

  • Take ownership and drive all elements within the Operational Permanent Control (OPC) framework
  • Evolve the Nordic OPC environment together with HQ
  • Perform ongoing risk assessment of the Finance activities
  • Monitor, control and implement initiatives ensuring a solid and efficient control environment
  • Reviewing, evaluate and implement existing and new financial procedures, processes and controls
  • Evaluate and generate process descriptions
  • Follow up, testing and documenting processes and controls

Together with the rest of the team, you will additionally participate in the other tasks of the team that include:

  • IFRS reporting to Group Finance BNP PF for the Nordic entities (Denmark, Norway and Sweden) for the consolidated external reporting
  • External Reporting to Danish and Norwegian FSA, local and COREP reporting
  • Participation in preparation of the Financial Statement according to local GAAP
  • Ad hoc analyses of new legislation, accounting practices, recommendations etc.
  • Tax calculations, declaration and allocation
  • Preparation of Transfer Pricing Documentation in cooperation with our external advisor
  • Preparation of ILAAP (Internal Liquidity Adequacy Assessment), ICAAP (Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment), Recovery Plan
  • Analysis, adaptation and Implementation of recommendations from Group Finance, Internal Audit or external Audit
  • Consolidation
  • Preparation of the Capital Planning and calculation of the Individual Solvency requirement
  • Coordination with Internal and external audit
  • Review of control environment etc. from Group Finance and Internal Audit
  • Preparation, controlling and reconciliations within advanced accounting arrears
  • Ad hoc Analysis, Accounting and Controlling tasks

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience from working with internal controls and process descriptions
  • Experience with regulatory requirements and reporting
  • Excellent accounting skills including Consolidation
  • Excel and word at an experienced level
  • Working independently as well as being a team player
  • Drives and takes responsibility and ownership of tasks
  • Excellent communication skills in English (and preferably Danish)
  • Candidate or bachelor in Finance
  • 5+ years of audit experience from one of the Big 4 or/and a solid accounting background
  • Experience from the Financial/Banking Industry is considered a plus.
